SDR-Radio 3.0.4 Released, Brings LimeSDR Transmission Support

Additional improvements in the SDR Console software include pseudo-stereo support, extended downconverter and frequency display support, new "slower" and "very slow" modes for the signal history view, and bug fixes.

Popular Windows software-defined radio (SDR) package SDR-Radio, also known as SDR Console, has been updated to version 3.0.4, adding transmit support via LimeSDR hardware for the first time.

Developer Simon Brown confirmed he was working on adding LimeSDR transmission support, in addition to the existing support for receiving radio signals, back in December 2018. At the time, the build with LimeSDR transmission support was exclusively available to beta-testers as part of the project’s support group.

In SDR-Radio 3.0.4, released this week, the ability to transmit on LimeSDR hardware is now available to all users. Additional improvements in the SDR Console software include pseudo-stereo support, extended downconverter and frequency display support, new “slower” and “very slow” modes for the signal history view, and bug fixes including improved audio buffering, improved spectrum display for very low signals, and various stability improvements.

A full list of the changes available in SDR-Radio v3.0.4 can be found in the release notes, while it can be downloaded free of charge in 32-bit and 64-bit binary form from the official website.
