Lime signs distribution deal with Richardson RFPD
Richardson RFPD, Inc. and Lime Microsystems today announced an agreement to distribute Lime's field programmable RF transceivers (FPRFs) for the next generation of wireless broadband systems. Under the agreement, Richardson RFPD will distribute Lime's LMS6002D multi-band, multi-standard transceiver worldwide, with the exceptions of Korea and Taiwan.
Lime's configurable LMS6002D 0.3–3.8 GHz transceiver and associated reference design offer a solution to the rapidly evolving demands of next generation wireless technologies and emerging markets, including small-cell base stations for consumer and infrastructure applications, machine to machine communications, software defined and whitespace radio platforms.
The LMS6002D can be software configured to operate on any mobile communications standard and on any wireless communications frequency. It includes integrated DACs and ADCs and supports a variety of network configurations, bandwidths and data rates, thereby facilitating fast, reliable and economical deployment of communications equipment.
"Lime Microsystems' comprehensive transceiver is a significant addition to our small cell solutions lineup," said Chris Marshall, VP of RF and Wireless, Richardson RPFD. "It provides an attractive space-saving option for our customers, covering multiple functions and greatly shortening time to market."
"We have over 150 customers using Lime's technology and these include everything from military organizations, through to OEMs for telecom network equipment and consumer devices, so a supply network that supports this large, diverse group of companies and developers is essential. said Lime CEO, Ebrahim Bushehri. "The expertise in RF technologies and their well-regarded reputation has made the Richardson RFPD team a natural choice for us."
Richardson is the third distribution partner to supply Lime products and joins Eastel (Korea / US) and Azio Electronics(Taiwan).
