The LimeNET Enterprise

The LimeNET Enterprise – what you need to know

The LimeNET campaign brings together three incredibly powerful, flexible systems that we believe will democratise wireless innovation. In our third in a short series of blog posts (see LimeNET Mini small-cell and LimeNET carrier-classsystems) following the launch of the LimeNET campaign we look at the LimeNET Enterprise - which is an exceptionally high-performance PC for the LimeSDR with Aluminium Kit.

The LimeNET Enterprise is particularly important in the campaign as it contains a deal for those previous backers of LimeSDR with Aluminium Kit, which helped our first campaign be a success. A big thank you to those special backers of our last campaign.

Further information is also available on the Crowd Supply page, which you can visit here to back and share this important campaign.

How will it be set up?

The LimeNET Enterprise is designed to get the best out of the LimeSDR boards. Here we look at the LimeNET Enterprise's.

While you can use the LimeSDR USB with other computers, LimeNET Enterprise is tested, approved and part of the LimeNET ecosystem. Of course, we encourage developers to integrate LimeSDRs of all flavors into new hardware configurations, but our ability to support and maintain hardware configurations is currently limited to those in the LimeNET family.

How much will it cost and when will it be delivered?

The LimeNET Enterprise will be initially priced at $1,899 USD* ($1,100 discount on retail prices, $800 on campaign prices), with this special early bird offer only available to existing backers of the LimeSDR Aluminum. This pricing reflects our desire to say thank you. For new customers, the campaign price will be $2,699 (a $300 discount). This will raise to $2,899 after the campaign closes. And finally $2,999 after the first batches are shipped.

We anticipate the first LimeNET Enterprise systems to be with our backers in October 2017.

App stores and getting up and running

LimeNET is built on a robust, community-driven software stack, including GNU Octave, Ubuntu, Pothosware, Lime Suite, GNU Radio, Lua Radio, pyLMS7002M. We'll be announcing more information on our app stores shortly, but they have had a face lift and, though our partnership with Ubuntu, become easier to access and get started with.

*The reduced-price version of LimeNET Enterprise without the LimeSDR with Aluminium Kit is available only to backers of the LimeSDR with Aluminium Kit who placed their order during the original LimeSDR campaign and pre-order period (April 28, 2016 - May 18, 2017). This special pricing is our way for thanking them for their early support.
