LimeNET DAS
LimeNET DAS
In-building coverage has grown in complexity with every generation of Radio Access Technology(RAT). 5G technology is widely promoted as the technology enabler for advanced applications that promote business innovation and encourage economic growth.
As indoor networks have evolved over several generations of wireless standards, several deployment architectures have also been developed including the Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), uncoordinated small cells, distributed radio systems, etc. Redesigning the current infrastructure that is optimal – offering good quality of service and efficiency – has been challenging, coupled with other complexities such as the use of high-band frequencies and the expected increase in penetration loss.
Positioned as one of the most cost-effective in-building upgrade solutions available, the LimeNET DAS solution allows telecom operators to quickly upgrade their current in-building infrastructure. They can also deploy LimeNET DAS progressively and solution enables MIMO coverage (4T4R/2T2R) using a single coaxial cable infrastructure of in-building sites.
The LimeNET DAS solution must be purchased with at least one Remote Radio Head (LimeRRH), and these may also be purchased separately in order to increase the coverage provided by an existing installation.
Expanding on Existing DAS Infrastructure
The solution is the most effective and progressive upgrade solution available for telecom operators. It could be added to a current in-building infrastructure by offering a low-cost and fast-delivery product.
One of the key advantages of the solution is its ability to allow operators to re-use and recycle their current installed Distributed Antenna System. This not only eliminates the need for extensive equipment replacement but also enables optimization to be performed simultaneously. As a result, the solution ensures the best possible performance for 4G and 5G networks, maximizing the value of the existing infrastructure.
